There’s nothing “wrong” with Jesse dating a white woman. His mom is white. The problem is that he went all pro-black and pro-black-women and then cheated on and left his black wife for a white woman. If he had passed on his Malcolm X moment, none of this would be news.

I have to admit…although I thought his acceptance speech at the BET awards was moving when he said that we wanted to talk specifically to the black women about how we deserved better and how they would do better I have to admit I thought it was a liiittttle suspicious especially when he’s not really black and his mother is a white woman…at least this way it makes more sense! Lol!
I’m not sure why everyone is so surprised/shocked/dismayed blah blah blah. That’s what they do. It is what it is. It’s been this way for quite some time now. Maybe one day it’ll change but some how I don’t see it happening any time soon. We as black women have to find a way to adapt to a society where we don’t fit in…not even with our own men.
