Former Moesha star Countess Vaughn claims her longtime boyfriend and father of her children has been abusing her for years. The actress said the man, David Benjamin Richard Whitten, threw bleach in her face as recently as Jue 2018 to prevent her from working as an actress.

Countess told the court her boyfriend felt insecure anytime she made moves in her career, and she’s endured a decade of physical, verbal and emotional abuse from him, includingslapping, beating, strangulation and sexual assault.

He allegedly threatened to leak explicit videos of her and threatened to kill her at times. She fears for her and her children’s safety if her boyfriend is allowed to have contact with them.

A judge ordered him to stay 100 yards away from them until their next court date in September 2018.

Although Aretha Franklin reportedly battled pancreatic cancer for years, the singer didn’t leave behind and will or a trust at the time of her death.

Her four sons filed a document on Tuesday afternoon, listing themselves as interested parties in her estate. One document signed by her son, Kecalf Franklin, and her estate attorney, David Bennett, check a box acknowledging the absence of a will.

Her niece, Sabrina Owens, has also asked to be appointed as personal representative of the estate.

Aretha isn’t the first artist to die without drafting a will. At the time of Prince’s death, he didn’t have a will either, which sparked a legal battle over his estate.

Da Brat has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, claiming she has over $7 million in debt.

According to court docs, she has assets totaling $108,700.65, but her liabilities total $7,782,249.57.

Some of her liabilities include a $6.4 million judgment owed to her victim and former cheerleader, Shayla Stevens, who Da Brat hit over the head with a bottle in a nightclub.

She also owes $1,255,128 to Sony Music and $12k to Ally Bank. She has $2,284 in credit card debt, $2,284 owed to the Georgia Department of Revenue and an unknown amount to the IRS.

Her monthly income as an entertainer/radio personality is $9,319, but her expenses total $10,506.55 a month.

Nicki Minaj has just “pushed back” the North American leg of her upcoming tour with Future. Live Nation released a statement saying they “decided to re-evaluate elements of production on the ‘NickiHndrxx Tour’” following her surprise performance Monday at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.

Nicki took to her social media to say the European leg would continue as planned, but she’ll have to find another co-headliner since Future is suddenly unavailable. She also didn’t know when the North American dates would be rescheduled.

News of the cancelation follows reports of low ticket sales, with a Live Nation source telling Page Six:

“Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.”

After news broke that Aretha Franklin was gravely ill, the Queen of Soul has passed away at the age of 76.

One of the greatest voices, who gave us songs such as “Respect,” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” died today after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She passed away in her Detroit home where she was still under hospice care, surrounded by her friends and family.

Her family has since released a statement:

“In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family.”

While the criminal matter over the home invasion robbery is far from over, at least LeSean McCoy and his ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, have settled their eviction dispute.

Lawyers for both parties met in a Fulton County courtroom on Tuesday for a closed-door mediation, which led to the agreement that Delicia would be evicted from the home, even though she already left the premises days after the attack.

She’ll be allowed back in the house, accompanied by a sheriff, for one last time to retrieve photos, a Christmas tree, holiday decorations and a gold chain belonging to her son. Lawyers for both sides will be present as well.

Their court days aren’t done yet. Delicia has sued LeSean for damages over the home invasion that left her with several injuries and with items of jewelry stolen and furniture stolen or damaged.
