Uncle Luke Can’t Afford To Pay Uncle Sam’s Debt

Uncle Luke Tax Trouble

Uncle Sam is threatening to begin seizing property and assets belonging to Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell. Know why? Because 54 year old Campbell owes the IRS $113K in back taxes.

Here’s what’s reported:

“The federal government hit Campbell with a tax lien on December 29th for unpaid taxes for the year 2013. The official document accuses the rapper of owing them a total of $39,131.35 for the year.

Uncle Luke was also hit with a lien several months before by the IRS claiming he owed them a total of $74,741.32 for the year 2012, which reportedly brings his grand total in tax debt to $113,872.32.”

  1. Luke Skywalker look like you beta hit the strip club mane, grab a few of them off the pole and tell’em you make’en a video, and start them to work’en it, call your boys out and make it rain lol, you remember Luke, look at them girls wit they Daisy duke’s on, it’s ya birthday, doo doo brown, get the club bang’en lol

    • I’m on my knees laughing!!! My twin use to sang these songs that I thought were so vulgar back in the day. They made Uncle Luke a lot of money though. Guessing he better go back and dust off the masters and get to work. Uncle Sam is no joke!!

  2. He’ll be okay. The amount isn’t too bad. Hopefully they will work out a payment schedule with him.
Is he still married to the attorney? She should make enough to at least hold on to their home.

  3. This is Karma at work. Luke never kept it 100 with his artists, he didn’t pay them—2 Live Crew, Poison Clan, MC Shy D,H-Town, etc. So, this was bound to happen. Luke is heavy in the game, made it possible for cats to speak their mind on wax, introduced the hood sistas to the world, created his own label from scratch among other things. Hopefully, he can get his finances in order. Another victim of Obamanomics, add him to the long list of black celebs caught in the matrix. Yet, Sharpton is allowed to roam free without fear of being jacked up by the IRS. He’s chummy with Obama and his minions. These same artists boosted for him like no other, and he goes after them the most… Think About It???

    • You sound incredibly ignorant. So which is it? “Obamanomics” or Karma? Here’s a thought…maybe Luther Campbell needs to pay his damned tax bills like all the rest of us. How about that? And then to say he married a lawyer? Typical…deadbeats and crooks of a feather. Funny how people will use ANY excuse to try to throw Obama under the bus. And here’s the funny thing: I’m not a supporter of the President’s administration. By and large, especially relating to African Americans, I think he has done a HORRIBLE job. However, I cannot blame the President or greasy Al for the likes of filthy Luther Campbell not paying his bills and neither can anybody else with a speck of common sense or honesty.

      • LMBO!!! You ain’t never lied!! Uncle Luke IS BROKE because he WAS NOT SMART with his monies!!

      • Luke is the lesser evil in hip-hop, which is why I cut him slack. Compared to the others, he’s a boy scout. Him being from Miami, yeah I’m biased… Guilty As Charged! As to Obama, I despise him with a passion. You don’t know me that well…I’m an Elephant! Ty is good, you and the rest of the Obamaites are catching hell because you support a party that is killing us… Get Off Me!!!

    • Luke was one of the first black CEO’S of his own Lable back in the late 80’s when this feat was unheard of before there was a Rap-A-lot,MoneyCash or a No limit Records.Luke for whatever reason has never gotten his just due in the Game and probable never will.

      • hes from the south that’s why.

new York dissed 2 live crew back then which was why luke made all those I ain’t bullshitting records dissing the juice crew, kid n play and calling salt n pepa dykes.

ny disliked any body outside new York who wasn’t rappuimg the way they rapped everybody can’ be krs 1 or kool moe dee or rakim or ll.

new York feels that since rap or hip hop started in the east they own hip hop and control it.

idiots thatsa why they lost control.

that’s why the early pionerers of hip hop are not millionaires.

rick rubin came in the hip hop game made his millionsa and left it alone for grunge rock.

      • Luke already got his props, Why? Southern Rap aka Bounce/Trap Music originated from Miami Bass. Atlanta is on the map because of MC Shy D. He and Luke parted ways because of money. Eventually, he packed his bags and went to ATL. Once there, he ignited the next progression of what he left in Miami. If folk wanna know why Luke and his production changed the game, Google some of Shy D’s records he put on wax with Luther Campbell back in the day.

  4. What I don’t understand is they’re making the money, or in his case, have made thousands of dollars over the years. And out of all that money, besides frivolous spending, you can’t pay your bills?! I’m dumbfounded each time with these so called entertainers, you chose that business to make money being in the spotlight and cannot pay bills…..

  5. These rappers need to understand that they need to get real jobs after their rap careers is over or better yet go to school and get a degree or degrees and start your own business.

    • LUKE WAS A SPECIAL CASE HE WAS A CEO AND HAD HIS OWN LABEL AND MADE MILLIONS IN THE 90’S.

LUKE NEVER REALLY WAS A RAPPER HE CAN’T RAP FOR NOTHING.

HE WAS MORE LIKE A HYPEMAN OR CHEERLEADER HE ALWAYS HAD SOMEBODY ELSE RAP FOR HIM WHILE HE SAY THOSE DUMB ASS CHANTS LIL JON TOOK SERIOUS NOTES.

        • I RESPECT LUKE MORE BECAUSE UNLIKE KIRK HE DID’NT HIDE BEHIND GOD AND A BOOK TELLING PEOPLE HE WAS TAKING THEM TO HEAven.

kirk was a bisexual freak who took church money had sex with his members and went to porn theaters letting guys and girls suck his dick.

while watching men and women have sex with his wife.

and kirk’s still a respected figure in gospel music.

makes me wonfder the the hell Yolanda adams did a song with devil rappers like bone thugs n harmony.

secular gospel is no better than hip hop all kirk did was sample rn b records and chanted over them.

m,ary mary remade blame it on the al;cohol why take a party song about drinking and turn it into gospel.

but then again ray Charles, Aretha, al green have always took gospel and turned it into rap, blues or whatever.

the church is the devil’s main recruiting grounds.

  6. Both him and Too Short should have gotten their teeth fixed with their first paycheck.

    • they was too busy buying p*ssy.

shorty b said too short never pimped a girl in his life he bought p*ssy from day 1 guess when you can buy all the ass you want you can make songs like freaky tales.

    • Both Too Short and Luke had it coming. Did they really think they were going to help poison a generation and the money was going to keep coming? Right! Time to pay the piper, let’s just thank God he spared their lives for testimony purposes, because we all know rappers don’t have a long shelf life.

  7. Grew up around the corner from Luke in Miami.. Historic Librty City Miami. The very center of Miami. Most people think South Beach is the heart of Miami. Not so. South Beach is an Island. Not a part of mainland Miami. Connected only by Bridges. Luke went to Miami Beach high. I went to historic Miami Northwestern Bulls. Luke’s Music was not Shootem up negative but was extremely masoginistic. He had a reputation of being selfish with money an not paying his artist.Karma can be a bitch some times.liberty City has always been a hot bead for music. The Ocean liners use to practice on the corner. R/b sensation Sam and Dave , K c and the Sunshine band. Bands were everywere. Luke was influenced by all the music in Miami. Unfortunately he forgot basic moral principal. Always pay people what they deserve. You never no when you will need them again.

  8. The funny thing is no black person ever held any other president accountable for putting a chicken in every pot, food on their table or money in their pocket util this one. We have an unparreleled level of self hatred. It’s just sad.

  9. Obama is not the first So called African American president he’s the first Joo_ish President because he’s on a Joo_ish Agenda. So there’s no way possible he can help blacks in America. He was Selected Before he was Elected.Ask Zbigniew Brzezinski.

    • You act like u wanted him to ascend to that height on his own. We hate light niggas, dark niggas, street niggas, neat niggas, smart niggas, dumb niggas, hoes who give up the ass, hoes who sell the ass, down low niggas, existent uppity niggas. Are there any niggas we like? Any at all? Self hatred is a motherf*cker.

      • Go and fck yourself and get out of your feelings.Sell that Sob story to the National Enquirer maybe they’ll buy it.

  10. Never liked Luke’s music…none of it. He and all of his artists were so shallow. Nothing on that label was conscious music. Not a one…lol

      • You don’t have to tell me, I do…That’s why I never copped anything Luke made. My playlist is remarkable.

        • PROFESSOR GRIFF WAS ON LUKE’S LABEL WHEN HE LEFT PE FOR INSULTING THE JEWS.

        • Hey TB I’m with you. Have you heard chuck D’s song with Mavis Staple? It’s a breath of fresh air.

          • @CC, I never heard anything PG made while he was on Luke’s label. Was it any good? I wasn’t into Florida rap. It was bad enough I had to put up with 2 Live Crew’s videos when they Ralph McDaniel’s played them on Video Music Box, lol

@Jazzy, whaaaat! Yessir! Ms. Mavis put that FUNK on that track, “We need Pride to Survive!” . And of course brother Chuck D, spittin that science…”Sex and Be-Bop, equals Hip Hop?” Track was smokin’ HOT! It’s fun to forget and make a track about hangin, and “party and bullshit!!”, lol, once in awhile, but I got to hear conscious hip hop…lyrics reflective of the struggle. It’s what hip hop was intended to be. I’m happy it’s branched out, but when I hear twenty songs about titties and azz it gets a little redundant. lol

  11. luke helped pioneer porn or xxx rap.

blowfly was rapping about the same things except blowfly was doing more blues funk disco type jams.

rudy ray moore, Lawanda page, lady reed and Leroy and skillet was doing the same things in comedy talking about sex, dicks, pussies, pimps, prostitutes.

luke and other gangster rappers sam[pled those artists and yes luke pioneered porn stars being in hip hop a trend that’s popular now.

you see all these rappers now a;ll they do is talk about sex, hos, money and these days groupies and video girls are famous and celebrities in their own right.

  12. Uncle Luke needs to use those “Pop That” royalties to pay his tax bill. Unless French Montana still hasn’t paid him.

  13. Luke was a pioneer and a true entrepreneur. I’ve been in the music business for years , and I knew Luke and many of the people he employed. He did a great deal for his community and he hired a number of people from his community. Most people who don’t have a clue about the music business are always quick to say how the Black label owners squeezed the artist on their labels , from Berry Gordy , Russel Simmons , Andrea Harrell , Master P , and so on. But they never mention the Jews who run the Entertainment business and their misgivings , and lob-sided contracts. Luke was totally Independent unlike his counter parts up north { Def-Jams, Uptowns } etc. Keep in mind Luke was in his early twenties when he started his label , with no backing from anyone. He lost his label and his masters to the Jewish lawyer who was a staff attorney on some real dirty insider mess. Keep in mind Luke fought the supreme court to allow all artist their first amendment right for free speech on their recordings , he spent his own money{ millions } to win that cases , if it was not for Luke , history would have been very different in music from what we know. Respect to Uncle Luke.

  15. IRS goes after black people who don’t pay taxes. They don’t go after the G.E., Apple or the NFL. By the way that Cowboys vs. Lions game was fixed!

    • @NBA,

I heard about the game but not that part. The last Cowboys game I watched was when they played the Red Skins & it was a gooood game. You’ll have to come back to tell me about the fix.

    • That call was so over the top bad, I don’t believe it was a fix. He will never referee a prestige game again behind that call. That’s NOT how the fix works. It’s much more subtle.

    • The IRS goes after black people who don’t pay their taxes? Tell that to Al Sharpton.

  16. Luke started Pit bull off. Maybe Mr. International white Latino will help his man?
