Stephen Belafonte Says Mel B’s Allegations are a Pack of Lies

Stephen Belafonte has broken his silence, telling TMZ … Mel B’s domestic violence allegations are “outrageous and unfounded.”

Belafonte’s lawyers say, “It’s a shame that Ms. Brown elected not to proceed in a respectful and amicable fashion in this very private matter. In due course, Mr. Belafonte will be filing his response to the outrageous and unfounded allegations made by Ms. Brown, which allegations he vehemently denies.”

The statement goes on, “When the Court determines the truth, it will become clear that this entire charade was nothing more than a smear campaign intended to cover up Ms. Brown’s own conduct during the marriage in light of her current involvement with a family television show, and in an effort to unfairly gain  leverage both financially and with respect to custody of the children.”

The lawyers go on … “When the degree to which Ms. Brown has gone to create a false depiction of her marriage to Mr. Belafonte is uncovered, real victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse will be understandably offended, angry and upset.”

“Mr. Belafonte is confident that the truth will come out when he has his day in court at which time he looks forward to being reunited with his children,” adding, “What matters most to Mr. Belafonte is the safety and well-being of his daughters and step-daughters.”

  1. He had a history of DV so was surprised when she married him. Wonder if his alimony demands will be shades of MJ Oblige’s ex hubby.

    • No prenup, married for 10 years in CA. No job. He gets half of everything. Mel dropped the ball on this one.

      • She was too busy trying to scam Eddie Murphy to pay attention. I hope he gets half and more.

  2. I’m rolling w/my fiance on this one. Mel B isn’t telling about what all SHE’S done. Very one sided, & as far as I can tell, Stephen is a good father to his daughters. They probably both fought each other at times. Mel doesn’t appear to me to be the kind of woman who’d let anyone hit her & she not do anything. She also has a smart mouth, which while she claims at times Stephen demeaned her, I’m sure she had some flippant comeback of her own.

    • She was trying to voodoo Eddie Murphy. That woman is a satan worshipper and sex addict.

  3. In this day and age how do you beat a woman who is photographed daily?

How do you blackmail the breadwinner in to threesomes?

She’s gonna need some proof. I just remember how she came at Eddie during the paternity case.

  4. I don’t believe his lawyer. Anyone that has the lawyer speak for them sounds guilty. I’m sure Mel B is giving him more blame than he deserves but these allocations can’t be completely made up.

      • I think some of the allegations are true, that he beat her and forced her to become estranged from her family. I also think he may have threatened her with freaky sex tapes and then again, they share a child together so who knows how he threaten for custody, not letting her go with her mom to England, etc. You never know how the mind of a victim works in those situations.

  5. She fucked up when she married him, lets be real she married for a name. She thought this clown was a real Belafonte and probably overlooked all the warning signs. The worse part is its not like she didn’t have money or means to leave this pos.

    • She was warned by her family he was off. And even with money, you can’t just leave when you share a child with an abuser, specially if he was a smooth manipulator. She stayed way too long in the relationship but that’s not unusual for battered partners.

    • I don’t trust what she says 100. ma be a “get out of jail free card” Threesome and drugs for 10 years I’m not saying that there wasn’t abuse, but it seems abit fishy. Not to take the side of the alleged abuser but what made her suddenly decide to blow the whistle on him NOW?
