LeBron James Says Sleeves Threw Him Off His Game

“Every time I shoot it feels like it’s just pulling right up underneath my arm.”

Word from the court… LeBron James blamed his sleeves on the new jerseys for the “poor shooting performance” he brought to the court, last night. Witnesses say… during the game, LeBron spoke out against the sleeves “partially blaming” the new team threads for throwing him off. Don’t believe me.. Just ask Brian Windhorst.

“James struggled for most of the night, scoring 19 points on a putrid 6-for-18 shooting.”

With a final score of 111-87, The San Antonio Spurs boss’ed up to the Heat — overthrowing King James. Know why? It marked LeBron’s “second-worst night of the season.”

Here’s what ESPN reports:

“I’m not making excuses, but I’m not a big fans of the jerseys,” said James, who had 19 points. “Every time I shoot it feels like it’s just pulling right up underneath my arm. I already don’t have much room for error on my jump shot. It’s definitely not a good thing.”

But LeBron said this, during the post-game press conference:

“I’m not making any excuses for my performance tonight. If we are going to beat an elite team, a championship worthy team like the San Antonio Spurs, then I just need to perform better. That’s on me, and it doesn’t matter what jerseys we wear or if I have a mask on my face. I need to be better, and I didn’t get the job done tonight. Period. End of story.”

  1. I agree. As a avid ball player myself I can say that a tank top jersey is more comfortable than a sleeve jersey especially if you’re Lebron’s size. I was never a fan of the new sleeve jerseys they’re corny to me. They look like college jerseys.

    • As a basketball player I agree. I concur to this. When I play my shirts are cut off sleeves for a reason. I am also not a fan of this new jersey era. Shame on the NBA. Greed.

    • I play ball. Jerseys or sleeves don’t matter to my game. I still shoot the same way. I will say that maybe this has got into LBJ’s head.

  2. Unfortunately they’ll keep experimenting with new jerseys because fans will keep buying them. In Chicago my friend’s son owns about 6 different Bulls jerseys and still wants more.

      • No that’s not what it is. Gay has nothing to do with the t-shirt equation. The white owners and league management wants to cover the more “offensive” neck and upper arm tattoos. I have that straight from the horse’s mouth.

  3. As much street ball I played, yes sleeves will f*ck up your game. That material I forgot it called cause I did a lot of repairing uniforms for the High School I went to, that material is nerve wrecking especially if you are sewing on a serger. Those sleeves keep rising and get tight under arm cause you are using those muscles the most in playing basketball.

  4. GTFOH with that crap. Every dude growing up played ball in a tee shirt and shorts. Lame excuse Bron. Only thing that’s caused thr bad game was Kawhi Leonard’s defense. Lebron rarely plays well against dude. Check the history.

    • Well if you were a true B-baller, you would know that it’s more comfortable to play with a tank top than a T-shirt. Lebron is a muscular dude. Those T-shirts are tight. Real ballers can relate

      • If you wear a t-shirt that is two sizes too small, of course it’s gonna be too tight. BTW, some college players sometimes wear t-shirts under their jerseys. Doesn’t change their game.
When I first started playing ball, I was ten years old, playing streetball in my t-shirt. So did most of us.

  5. Those are some tight titty tops made for the the bball man in the village people.
