Jay Z Sues Former TIDAL Owners for Inflating Numbers

jay z sues tidal

Jay Z is in his feelings over TIDAL, and he’s pointing fingers all around. The rapper is now suing the former owners for an undisclosed amount of money, claiming they inflated the number of subscribers the music streaming service had.

According to reports, Jay Z filed the suit, stating TIDAL had fewer than the 503k subscribers the previous owners claimed at the time of the sale. He paid $56 million for TIDAL back in 2015.

He has been trying to sell the company off to Samsung since October of last year.

Are the old owners at fault? Or is Jay Z to blame for not digging deeper and researching the company before throwing away millions of dollars?

    • yes a "business man" but he's just a red fish thinking of himself as a shark…

          • Whew chile um waiting with my bowl of popcorn for heads to start rolling. Muammer Gaddafi’s money was mixed up in this, Russia, Iceland, Saudi Arabia and others so you know them Bush’s had they hand in that pie as well as Britain, lol.

Umma see what colors Sug/US put on the wall now. *in my beat Ms Celie voice*

  1. He bought into a failure cause the white man told him it was good. Sold a product that nobody needed. Refused to hire any black people at his offices. Blamed black people for being haters when the business got no support. Now we're here. Jay-Z is not a business man. His celebrity brand is his biggest asset. He should stick to endorsing for $.
Personally he turned me all the way off when he claimed his presence at a Trayvon rally was "charity".

  2. Sarah, your comment was brilliantly stated & completely true.
Jay Z is trying to save face now by claiming he was lied to. Well…
the "businessmen" he was dealing with new the outcome ahead of time & benefited from the use of Jay Z's money. Notice how we don't hear them speaking out about loses & lies? They got what they wanted & at no cost to themselves. …all by design.

  3. Jay Z …
throughout all of his albums this show off wouldn't stop claiming how street wise and how good of a business man he is…
Then he got rich thanks to this illuminati owned thing called hip-hop…
He made a lot of endorsment advertising stuff, and he bought a basket ball team… He thought that was serious business so he actually started to believe that he was a "businessman"…
Advertisement stuff : anyone can pull that stuff since you only thing you need to do is showing your face…
Buying some NBA team : only a billionaire does that because he does that for his personal pleasure not for making tons of money…
This Tidal thing was stinking from the beginning and it doesn't take heavy business skills to understand that…yet the "street wise businessman" fell for that trap and got owned by a couple of corporate suits…
Jay Z is just a rapper who rose just above the gutter and there is no way for him to become some wall street hot shot…

  4. Jay stick to rapping, and running your label and stick to your fairy tale marriage and your miatresses
