This payolla crap is nothing new. A few years back it was founded that dj funkmaster flex from shot 97 was doing the same thing with artists like Diddy. Its called pay for play. All those bad boy records that were being played all day and everyday back in the day.
this is true, the mix djs charge these independent rappers and labels a fee to make onto their mix shows, etc; outside of the regular paid programming…it’s racket that people are paying to build something market by market.
